Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The lightning thief.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians is a blend of our modern-day world and Greek mythology. The story follows Percy Jackson, a 12-year-old boy from New York, who finds out is the son of the Greek god of the sea Poseidon and goes to camp half-blood. He is accused of stealing Zeus's lightning bolt and is sent on a quest with his friends Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood to find it.

The way Rick Riordan writes about Greek mythology is fun, engaging and hilarious. I love how he builds on the relationship between the three main characters and seeing them grow together as a team.

The story has many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. It truly is the perfect start to a wonderful series and i can't wait to see what other challenges Percy Jackson will face.
