Into the Crooked Place

Into the Crooked Place is a dark fantasy novel that follows four main characters in a world where illegal magic roams the streets. Tavia Syn is a busker who wants to escape the city and live a free life of her choosing. Wesley Thornton Walcott is the underboss of Creije and wants to protect it at any cost. Saxony Akintola is a waitress at the crook who wants to avenge her family. Karam Talwar is bouncer in the Crook who wants to make her father proud of the person she became.

Alexandra Christo worldbuilding and character development is truly unique and exciting to read. The relationship between the different characters in this novel stands out from the rets because of how complex it is. You will never guess what will happen in the next chapter.

This novel is one of my favourite reads so far and I can't wait to start the next book. Especially after that cliffhanger.
